Boat trip to the Ljubljana Marshes and a visit to the Iški morost nature reserve

Back

A boat gliding along the surface of the Ljubljanica river and leaving behind the bustling city centre will bring you to the Ljubljana Marshes (Ljubljansko barje), where multitudes of rare bird species nest or just fly over marshy meadows.

During the boat ride, your guide will acquaint you with interesting stories and legends from the history of Ljubljana. In the village of Lipe a horse-drawn carriage will pick you up and take you to the Iški morost nature reserve, where all kinds of interesting facts about the birds flying over and nesting at the Marshes will be explained to you by an ornithologist.
