This trip will introduce you to the sights of Novo mesto and Kostanjevica na Krki, two towns, marking the Dolenjska region.

Novo mesto, the centre of Dolenjska, is rich in sights, archaeological heritage, country traditions, customs and cultural events. Besides tasting Cviček, autochthon wine of the region, you will also see the city sights: Glavni trg, Kandijski bridge, Town hall, a well at Glavni trg, chapter church of Saint Miklavž, Dolenjska museum and the Miran Jarc library.

Kostanjevica na Krki, set up in 1252, is the oldest and smallest town in the Dolenjska region. Central part of the town, because of flooding also called Venice of Dolenjska, stands on an artificial island in the middle of the Krka river. The trip includes visits to Božidar Jakac gallery, Kostanjevica monastery, to underground cave Studena known for the unique cave snail species, and to the near Krakovski forest.
