Rafting on Soča river

This excursion to the Slovenian Alpine region mainly includes places along the banks of the Soča, referred to as the "Emerald River" because of its striking greenish colour. A white water raft ride down the river is included as an option.

The excursion begins with a visit to the Kranjska Gora holiday resort and the nearby Zelenci nature reserve. On your way to the source of the Soča river in the scenic Trenta valley you will cross Vršič, the highest mountain pass in Slovenia (1611m). In the resort town of Bovec you will go either on a raft ride down the Soča, available at an extra charge, or a walk of Bovec's surrounding area. For more variety, your journey back to Ljubljana will include an auto train ride between the town of Most na Soči and the village of Bohinjska Bistrica.
