Predjama Castle, built into the middle of a 123 metre high vertical cliff face, was the scene of the famous legend about the outcast knight Erasmus. Your next stop will be the Škocjan Caves, one of Slovenia's most beautiful natural sights, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Admission to the caves is charged extra.

You will then be taken to Piran, a small medieval town on the Slovenian coast, where you will be at leisure for a swim and lunch. The excursion will continue through the unique karst landscape of the Kras region.
