Bled, famous for its alpine lake with a little island in the middle and a castle by its side, is one of the most popular Slovenian resort towns, well known for a vanilla-and-cream cake served as a local speciality. The nearby Blejski Vintgar, a winding gorge formed by the Radovna river, is known for its beautiful waterfalls, pools and rapids.

From Bled you will continue towards the glacial lake resort of Bohinj, where you will be able to take a breather and taste some local specialities. On the way back to Ljubljana, you will stop off in the famous medieval town of Škofja Loka, first mentioned in official records in 1248.
