Medieval Days 2008

09 Sep 2008 - 10 Sep 2008
old city centre and Ljubljana Castle

The traditional Ljubljana Medieval Days include costumed performances from medieval groups, a festival of medieval and Renaissance music, and a medieval market. This year's programme of events will be partly dedicated to the 500th birth anniversary of Primož Trubar (1508-1586), the father of the written Slovenian language and the leader of the Protestant movement in Slovenia.

The programme of events, ending with the Medieval Day at Ljubljana Old Town and Castle, will feature musicians, dancers, swordsmen, actors and other artists.
